This Sunday in Worship
August 22, 2010
“The Church exists for mission as fire exists for burning.” So says one of the early Church teachers and preachers…, and a really profound and thought-provoking statement it is! I believe that mission defines our life together as a faith community, providing us with an outlet for the love we experience from God. We share with others – graciously and unconditionally – that which we have received, and we are the ones who are blessed.
This Sunday we celebrate our annual Mission Sunday, where three of our fine St. Andrew’s members share mission stories about the power of God at work in mission. You won’t to miss this great Sunday as we worship together, and enjoy the cookout after Sunday School.
I look forward to seeing you as we celebrate God’s call and our response.
Grace and peace,
Jack Knoespel
