Upward Basketball and Cheerleading promotes character and self esteem in every child by:

• Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities
• Establishing a 1 hour practice and game each week.
• Allowing each child equal playing time.
• Creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game.

• The Upward program is open to Kindergarten through 8th grade girls and boys.
• Early registration through November 14th is $65, for both basketball and cheerleading.
• Evaluations will start on November 7th.
• The early registration cost per child for basketball is $65; after November 14, the cost is $75.
• The early registration cost per child for cheerleading is $65; after November 14, the cost is $75.
• Deadline for registration is December 5.
• Practices begin on January 9th, with the first games on January 23rd.
• The end of season Awards Celebration will be on Saturday March 27th.
• Scholarships are available. Please fill out a scholarship application.

Evaluations and Orientations

Every child must attend one basketball evaluation or cheerleading orientation. They will take place at St. Andrews UMC in the Family Life Center (FLC) as follows:

Kindergarten through 8th Grade Boys/Girls

• Saturday, November 7, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
• Monday, November 9, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, November 10, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday, November 12, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday, November 14, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
