St. Andrew’s UMC – Lent 2023
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd with opportunities throughout the day for imposition of ashes, a community wide service (in-person and online) and a fellowship meal.
On Wednesdays, March 1st through April 5th, we will gather for a simple meal and time of worship from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. in the Family Life Center. See more information below under Lenten Opportunities.
And as we draw closer to Easter, mark your calendars for services on Good Friday, April 7, again more information to come via the Chatter, www.standrewsumc.com and our Facebook page.
LENTEN OPPORTUNITIES:
An interactive and Sensory Walk through the Lord’s Prayer to explore each phrase and enjoy a quiet place to stay - Room 30 on Sundays before and after worship.
Each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. Community Prayer in Room 29 – to pray and share prayer concerns.
The Morning Prayer Group in Room 29 after worship has begun a study of Larry Crabb’s “The PAPA Prayer”. There is still time to join. Questions? Email Sara at [email protected]
On Wednesdays in March through April 5th, we will have a Lenten fellowship meal at 5:45 p.m. in the Family Life Center. All are welcome to enjoy food and conversation around the table and our sermon series for Lent, “Freeing Jesus”. Meals will be freshly prepared by Chef Sonia Stowe. A love offering will be collected at each meal, with the excess going to the Helping Hands Fund.

March 15 - Grilled Chicken Caesar salad
March 22 - Tortilla Soup with Corn Muffins - Spinach Cornbread Recipe
March 29 - Lemon Parmesan Pasta Bake
